Recombinant thioredoxin reductase in glycerol solution
2012.10.04

Thioredoxin reductases in vertebrates are selenoenzymes reducing thioredoxin with NADPH but also a range of other substrates. The mammalian enzyme reacts equally well with thioredoxin from any mammalian species.

Human and animal thioredoxin reductases are selenoenzymes with an essential penultimate selenocysteine residue. IMCO produces recombinant rat TrxR1, with the best specific activity and price in the market. A new ready to use preparation is supplied as a glycerol solution. Compared to the product of others containing the truncated inactive protein you get active enzyme at the best price.

New kit for high sensitivity GSH measurements

Measuring GSH in plasma and serum requires high sensitivity and is complicated by oxidation in samples upon storage. IMCO has developed a new kit for high sensitivity fluorescent determinations of GSH, GSSG and glutathionylated products.

Mammalian thioredoxin reductases: TR-03 and TR-03B

Mammalian thioredoxin reductase 1 (TrxR) contain an essential seleocycteine residue encoded by the stop codon UGA. This makes recombinant expression in E.coli a challenge. IMCO now has preparations of rat TrxR with unsurpassed specific activity.
